    Description: 
    An abstracted, organic, natural form with an asymmetrical hole in the center. The smooth, polished surface reveals grey veins in the white marble.

    Remarks: 
    Howard Carlile was an apprentice helping the artist on this sculpture. The sculpture cost $11,000. Three quarters of the funding was provided by a grant from the San Francisco Foundation and the remaining fourth quarter was funded by contributions from local businesses, individuals, and organizations. The sculpture was originally to be installed at the Novato Civic Center in 1982, but the installation site was later changed. IAS files contain a related newspaper article from the Navato Advance, Aug. 25, 1982, pg. B-1.
