    Description: 
    Stacked books around a central cascading waterfall. The sculpture is triangular in its outline and is constructed of green and brown glazed ceramic tiles, both flat and sculpted, over a concrete block foundation. The central cascade has a botanical motif and is surrounded by 20 large scale books that appear to be leather bound volumes with gold leafing. On the proper left is a memorial plaque to Amelia Valerio Weinberg.

    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain copies of The Cincinnati Post (Cincinnati, OH), Oct. 10, 1990, and a Library press release, dated Nov. 7, 1990. The design and installation of the fountain was made possibly by a bequest of Amelia Valerio Weinberg, established as a trust fund by the Library Board of Trustees in 1982. The fountain was designed by Michael Frasca of Spring Spring Studio. The foundation was constructed by Nostrand Seyferth Construction Design.
