Description:
Rectangular monolith cut at the top in a diagonal plane stands among a grouping of natural boulders. A replica of the Congressional Medal of Honor was affixed by the inscriptions before it was stolen.

Remarks:
The park and sculpture were funded by the Valley Improvement Association. This sculpture honors eleven New Mexicans who have received the Congressional Medal of Honor. The replica of the Medal was stolen off the sculpture in 1995. IAS files include a related article from New Mexico Magazine, Nov. 1988.
