Description:  Vignette depicts a wife kneeling before a window praying for her soldier husband, with two childreen asleep besider her in a bed, surrounded by scenes depicting Santa Claus descending a chimney, and a regiment on the march through the snow. A vignette on the right depicts a soldier on guard with a rifle, sitting before a camp fire gazing at a daguerreotype portrait of his wife; surrounded by another scene with Santa Claus and a ship sinking in a stormy sea.
