Description:
A uniformed Civil War soldier stands atop a tall, square tapered shaft, his proper right foot forward and his proper right hand raised, his index finger pointing skyward. His proper left hand holds the barrel of his rifle by his side, the stock by his foot. He wears a field hat, with a canteen and kit strapped to his back waist. Below the shaft is a five-stepped stone base adorned with a star and garland motif.
