    Description:
A free standing mural framed by ceramic columns, with faces of Native Americans at the top on four sides. The piece depicts Native Americans and their culture, the coming of the railroad, and Gladding McBean and Co. It also depicts the Chinese laborers on the railroad and ceramic artisans. The top half of the mural depicts the native people of the Lincoln area, the Nisenan Indians, a subgroup of the Maidu tribe. At the top center of the mural is a leafy green oak tree, symbolic of Mother Earth and nourishment. To the right is a yellow crescent moon, which depicts time passed, and to the left, a coyote. Additional groups depicted include Chinese railroad workers, Japanese fruit growers, and Portuguese pottery laborers, all represented within the overall house shape of the mural.
