Remarks:
Dan R. Hudson (1904-1972) was a Birmingham businessman and civic leader who spearheaded the building of the Baptist Medical Centers. IAS files include a related article from the Baptist Hospitals Foundation's publication Foundation, Summer 1993, the dedication program and a excerpt from "The Right Man at the Right Time," by Mike Easterling. The sculpture was created by Dobrokhotova, on a visit to the U.S., and cast by Brad Morton.
