    Remarks:
Original designer of memorial is unknown. Tower was originally to have been filled with carillon chimes and located in cemetery; but costs became prohibitive. After twenty years of fund-raising by the American Legion, architect C. Clay Davis of Denver was hired to rework the design. He added the star component. Cadet Sheet Metal and Dave Morelli executed the design.
