Dimensions:  Sculpture: approx. H. 8 ft. x Diam. 40 ft. Description:  A circular space containing three curved slabs of steel, each with a geometric shape cut out of the center. The three slabs are placed around a circular steel base which has a large granite stone on top. Reynolds Center courtyard, Winston-Salem, North Carolina Remarks:  Funded with a National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant of $26,000 given in 1985 to Winston-Salem State University. Additional funding was provided by former trustee Gordon Hanes. The sculpture's form was inspired by architectural remains from the kingdom of Zimbabwe.
