    Description: 
    A larger-than-life size bronze figure of a captured American serviceman kneeling, with his hands bound around a pole across his back, and his head turned to face the sky. The figure is surrounded by nine granite steles, two bearing inscriptions dedicated to prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action. The memorial is installed in the center of a circular stone plaza.

    Remarks: 
    The memorial was erected by the Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee in honor of all prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action from all wars. IAS files contain a copy of the dedication program, articles from the North Country Times (California), Sept. 15, 2005 and Sept. 16, 2005, and copies of early promotion materials for the memorial.
