Description:
A bronze sculpture of St. Joseph is installed on the front facade of St. Joseph Catholic Church. St. Joseph stands dressed in a robe and carpenter's apron. He holds a chisel in his proper left hand and a mallet in his proper right hand. The sculpture is flanked by small bronze depictions of carpenter's tools and a flower. On the left, from top to bottom, the items are: a square, a lily, and a chisel. The tools on the right, from top to bottom, are: a caliper, a saw, and a hammer.

Remarks:
St. Joseph Catholic Church was designed by Humbrecht & Associates and built by general contractor Michael Kinder & Sons. The artist created the sculpture at St. Christopher's Workshop in Bremen, Indiana. The sculpture was dedicated on the patronal feast of the parish, March 19, 1961.
