    Remarks: 
    "The Culprit Fay" is comprised of 16 painted panels surrounding a mirror and refer to episodes in Joseph Rodman Drake's poem of the same title. The portrait of Drake was based on a miniature done by Elias Metcalf in 1819. The mirror was designed by Stanford White, ca. 1882-1886.
