    Remarks:
Sculpture was commissioned by the Fund for the Arts and was dedicated with the opening of Harry Ellis Dickson Park (formerly Westland Triangle Park). Harry Dickson was a leader in Boston's music community and is the former conductor of the Boston Pops. The park was designed by Patrice Todisco and the total construction cost was $190,000. The project was funded by grants from the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Boston's Fenway Program, the Fund for the Arts, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Boston Foundation. Funding also included the Edward-Ingersoll Browne Fund of the City of Boston, the George B. Henderson Foundation, and others. Children are allowed to play on the sculpture. The inscription on a plaque set into ground next to sculpture reads: TENT BAY by TAYLOR MCLEAN SCULPTOR/1991/Commissioned by The Fund for the Arts.
IAS files contain an April 13, 1989 rough sketch of the sculpture; a Nov. 9, 1990 letter from C. A.
