Description:
A figure of a World War I soldier, dressed in a military uniform consisting of a belted thigh-length coat, britches, and a helmet, stands at parade rest holding the barrel of a rifle with both hands down at his proper left side. The figure is placed atop an inscribed stepped base that consists of a central pedestal flanked by a wing-like element at each side. The base rests atop a concrete slab.

Remarks:
The doughboy honors those men from Frankfort, New York and its environs who gave their lives serving their country in World War I. Frank McKeown and Monumental Works are believed to have had a role in creating the monument. IAS files contain a related article from the Evening Telegram (New York), Sept. 5, 1929.
