    Remarks: 
    O.T. Bassett Tower was commissioned by Charles N. Bassett, President of State National Bank, at a cost of approximately $500,000. Architect Henry C. Trost of Trost & Trost designed the 15-story skyscraper, which was the tallest structure in El Paso at the time. The building was constructed by R. E. McKee. The building is listed on the National Register of Historical Buildings and is part of a National Historic District. IAS files contain a related excerpt from Lloyd C. and June-Marie F. Engelbrecht's "Henry C. Trost, Architect of the Southwest," El Paso Public Library Association, 1981, pg. 74. IAS files contain a related article from the El Paso Herald Post, Sept. 24, 1929; and the pamphlet, "Tour of Downtown El Paso Buildings Designed by Trost," Arts and Resources Council.
