Inscription:  (Left hind leg:) MADELEINE McALPIN signed Description:  Young colt standing with his proper front left leg and his proper right back leg forward. Subject:  Animal -- Horse -- Arabian Animal -- Portrait -- Corky Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- New Mexico -- Los Alamos Sculpture Owner:  Administered by County of Los Alamos, Art in Public Places, 2300 Trinity Drive, Los Alamos, New Mexico 87544 Located Ashley Pond, Trinity Drive or Central Avenue, Los Alamos, New Mexico Remarks:  The sculpture was an enlargement from an original made in the 1930s, modeled after a gray foal of a silver-gray Arabian mare the artist had owned. Corky was sited at Ashley Pond, as part of an exhibit held in 1993, by Shidoni Foundry, to commemorate the city of Los Alamos's 50th anniversary.
