This sculpture depicts an opossum dressed in shoes, pants, shirt, and a bowler hat with holes for his ears to protrude. His proper left leg is crossed so that his proper left foot rests on his proper right knee and his tale wraps around his proper left knee. He is reading a book and sits atop a pile of nine books.
