Description:
Two rectangular bas-reliefs flank the Greek Revival style entrance facade of the Heckscher Museum. The bas-relief on the left features the bust of a classical female figure wearing a helmet. She is shown in proper right profile. Around her are a mask, a palette and brushes, and an urn. The right bas-relief depicts a sculpted male torso without arms, a vase, a horse's head in proper left profile, and a drawing instrument.
