Description:
A standing male figure, about one-half life-size, with arms held stiffly at his sides as if standing at attention. He is depicted bare-chested and with a minimum of detail. He wears plain pants with a belt, work boots, and work gloves. He has a fixed gaze, directly forward. The details on this sculpture are few and subtle. There are reliefs on the outdoor foyer walls behind the sculpture, four on each side of the figure. The reliefs are made of bronze with a sandblasted area around them. They appear to represent technological processes for making modern products from the resources of the earth.
