Coat of Arms) 19 DE ABRIL DE 1810 20 DE FEBRERO 1859/INDEPENDENCIA FEDERACION/REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA.
    IAS files contain articles from Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA) Nov. 25, 1957, Nov. 26, 1957; and The New Orleans States, Nov. 25, 1957. According to a Times-Picayune article July 25, 1985, the sculpture was "recently refurbished." Additional unpublished information related to the memorial is on file at the Historic New Orleans Collection, the Tulane University Library (Louisiana collections); and the New Orleans Public Library (Louisiana collection).
