    Remarks: 
    The relief was commissioned for the new Salvation Army building, dedicated June 17, 1955. The building was designed as a home for unwed mothers. The building's architect was Stratton O. Hammon. The relief was donated by the artist. Contractor Robert Struck and Son installed the relief. IAS files contain excerpt from Bob Hill's "The Survivors," Louisville, KY: The Manic Depressive and Depressive Association of Louisville, 1990, pg. 81; and 1955 article from The Courier-Journal (Louisville, KY).
