    Remarks: 
    Morelos y Parvon was a revolutionary figure in Mexican history who joined the insurrection against Spain in 1811. The sculpture was a gift to the City of Los Angeles from Mexican President Portillo. Alternate title was taken from city Inventory Form. IAS files contain copy of related City of Los Angeles Municipal Arts Department Inventory Form - Permanent Collection.
