    Description: 
    Tall rectangular granite marker with an ornamented Celtic cross carved on the front in relief. In the center of the cross is a bas-relief portrait of Junipero Serra's face in proper right profile. Near the bottom of the cross is a relief depicting the Carmel Mission. The back and sides of the marker are rough-hewn.
