    Owner:
Administered by Town of Milford, Public Works Department, 1 Union Square, Milford, New Hampshire 03055
Located Wadleigh Memorial Library, Nashua Street, Milford, New Hampshire
    Provenance:
Formerly located Lullwood, Nashua Street, Milford, New Hampshire
    Remarks:
The fountain was given to the town by Dr. Oliver W. Lull (Mrs. Mary Augustus Lull) in memory of her husband, Col. Lull who was killed in the Civil War. Dr. Lull presented the fountain to the Oliver W. Lull Post of the G.A.R. The fountain originally stood on the grounds of the Lull estate, Lullwood. When the house was demolished to make way for the new town library in 1950, the fountain was moved to the west lawn of the library. At that time, an elaborate top which had deteriorated was removed, the basin bowl was made smaller and a single light replaced the original colored lights. IAS files contain detailed condition assessments for the rocks placed around the rim of the pool.
