Remarks:
The sculpture was created through a community project in which a number of youths participated in the actual idea and creation of the work. Twelve children were asked to design a model for the sculpture and the community chose a model of a house inside a heart by fifteen year old, Isaia Jackson. The project was launched in March 1991, with about $6,000.00 in grants from Atlanta's Bureau of Cultural Affairs, the Fulton Country Arts Council and the Georgia Council for the Arts and Humanities. The total cost of the project was $30,000. Student collaborators included Stacey Primrose, Isiah Jackson and Jhan Jackson. Eleanor Hand created the sculpture, which was fabricated by Tony Loadholt. Other participating artists included Al Clayton, Tony Deleo, Bill Drath, Jim Greenwood, Eddie Granderson, Linda Gunshor, and Lynn Marshall-Linnemeir.
