    Description: 
    An abstract bronze sculpture with an elongated oval shape arising out of an octagonal lower section and topped by a pot shape. On the side of the sculpture facing Jayhawk Boulevard, a wavy line is incised. The sculpture sits atop a rectangular concrete base.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was commissioned for the 100th birthday of Spooner Hall. The sculpture cost $34,000 and was partially funded by a gift of $25,000 from Clarence and Hazel Beck (Rye, New Hampshire). Craig Goseyun provided a plaster 18 inch model from which the bronze was created. The sculpture was cast at the University of Kansas foundry, under the direction of Assistant Professor Doug Warnock and students Aaron Wiernasz, Kent Snyder, Regan Wheat, Laura Lindsay, Zach Rockhill, Cyrus Taleshi, Brian Constance, and Megan Joyce.
