    Owner:
Emmaus Public Library, 11 East Main Street, Emmaus, Pennsylvania 18049
    Remarks:
According to the artist, the sculpture represents "world unity. The circular section represents the continuing oneness of the world, pierced, but not broken by, the thrusts of the angular piece, representing movement ending in time and space." The sculpture was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Samuel B. Pennebacker of Upper Milford, Pennsylvania. The base was constructed by two sophomores from Emmaus High School, Dean Lichtenwalner and Kevin Smith, under the direction of Stephen Brosky at Lehigh County Area Vocational-Technical School. Richard Becker, an instructor at Lehigh County Area Vocational-Technical School, supervised the installation of the sculpture. IAS files contain newspaper article from the Emmaus Free Press, Feb. 21, 1973.
