    Description: 
    Five panels of glazed ceramic tiles with bas-relief images. The images on the first two panels represent the ethnic and geographical origins of the patrons of the Bear Canyon Senior Center, the middle portion depicts four New Mexico landscapes, and the last two panels depict seniors involved in their current hobbies and activities. The panels are set on a low exterior wall, the middle portion of which is curved. The tiles with the bas-relief images are bordered by tiles bearing geometric designs.

    Remarks: 
    Funded by the City of Albuquerque One Percent for Art Program. Seventeen seniors from the Bear Canyon Senior Center assisted the sculptor by creating the drawings upon which the bas-reliefs are based and by rolling the clay for the tiles. IAS files contain detailed dimensions. IAS files contain articles from Ceramics Monthly (March 1988) and City Arts: City of Allbuquerque (June/July/Aug. 1986). On a plaque on a nearby wall:) CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE/1986/1% FOR ART/JOAN WEISSMAN/with/(two columns with the names of the 17 seniors who assisted the sculptor).
