Description:
The sculpture is a piece of playground equipment depicting the outline of a row of buildings --a store, a house, and a barn. The outline is created with welded two inch steel tubing. Inside the framework of each building are cutouts painted to suggest the contents of each building. The windows of the store display fruits, fish, cookies, and cakes. The windows of the house are adorned with flowered curtains and shutters. The barn contains a crowing rooster, a spotted hen, a sleeping cat, and a cob web. Because the structure is open, children can climb under and over each building.
