    Remarks: 
    The Cathedral was completed and dedicated Dec. 8, 1860. Father Benoit was architect; Thomas Lau was carpentry contractor and designer of the structure; James Silver was the contractor for the brick work. Sculpture is located where there once was a stained glass window. The sculpture was placed in its present location sometime between 1946 and 1952, when the building was refaced. IAS files contain additional information about the construction of the cathedral.
