    Description: 
    The figures of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn stand turned toward one another, with a working lamppost between them. Tom Sawyer is barefoot and wears an opened shirt with just one suspender. He has shortened pants with a torn proper right knee and holds a paint brush in his proper right hand. Huck Finn is barefoot and wears a jacket with knee-length pants. He leans forward slightly and his proper right hand is slightly raised.

    Title supplied by Inventory cataloger.
    Eleanor Sayles Langdon, created the sculptures for her home, Quarry Farm. Her husband, Jervis Langdon was the father of Samuel Clemens' character "Livy" and Clemens spent summers writing at Quarry Farm. The Quarry Farm property was given to Elmira College in 1984. IAS files contain undated newspaper clippings with historic photographs of the sculpture and Quarry Farm.
