    Remarks:
The original memorial included the Presidential Seal, inscriptions in marble flanking the seal, two eagles and six flagpoles, and was installed in 1970. SOS! survey says the portrait sculpture was installed in 1977 and dedicated in September of that year. Dedication ceremony program gives dedication data of July 1, 1976. The portrait sculpture was funded through a local citizen's advisory board and was sculpted by Lake and cast by Roman Bronze Works. IAS files contain copy of related dedication ceremony program and related article from Killeen Daily Herald, Sept. 11, 1977.
