Inscription:  (On anvil:) Kossowski signed Description:  A blacksmith stands before an anvil, preparing to forge a piece of pipe. He has a mustache and wears a t-shirt, a leather apron, and wooden clogs. The anvil rests on a tree stump. The blacksmith's proper right hand is raised holding a hammer prepared to strike. With his proper left hand he holds a pipe on top of the anvil with a pair of tongs. Another hammer lies on the ground at his feet. The sculpture is mounted on an irregularly-shaped section of stone which sits in a small rock garden.
