An abstract sculpture, reminiscent of Stonehenge, with triangular columns connected at the top by a semicircle and a straight, rectangular shape. One column stands unconnected to the others. The sculpture is set directly on the ground.

Remarks:
Major corporate benefactors for the sculpture include the Michigan Council for the Arts, the City of Battle Creek, the Kellog Company, the Miller Foundation, and Schweitzer, Inc. Plaque by the foot of one of the sculpture's columns reads: CIRCA/GATEWAY TO THE FUTURE/Cor-Ten Steel 1981/Battle Creek Sesquicentennial 1831-1981/Michael Calligan, Sculptor/Dar Davis, Project Originator/William N.
