    Description: 
    Four pairs of granite monoliths inscribed with text and symbols from prehistoric times to the present. Included are quotes from literary classics from a variety of countries; hieroglyphics; and copies of prehistoric wall paintings. The inscriptions are arranged in a historical time-line from bottom to top. The monoliths are placed around a plaza.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture cost $41,000. The commission for the sculpture was underwritten by the County and Josephine Hudson. The plaza in which the sculpture is located was constructed by the Fort Worth architectural firm of Kirk Voich Gist, Inc. People sit on two of the sculpture's blocks. IAS files contain a related article from the Fort Worth Star Telegram, July 25, 1992, pg. F1-F2, which gives detailed listing of monolith imagery and text.
