    Remarks: 
    Commemorates Civil War Brigadier General Ralph Buckland and dedicated to his memory by his comrades in arms. IAS files contain transcription of names on plaques on base. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03303). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form which lists Henry Hudson Kitson as the sculptor. Cataloging card from Vicksburg National Military Park lists Henry Hudson Kitson as the sculptor. Donated by veterans of Buckland's brigade.
