    Remarks:
Commissioned under the Alaska Art in Public Places Program for $25,000. The sculpture was originally part of a fountain, installed indoors at the campus cafeteria. It was moved in 1991 to a solid base after a toddler fell into the basin. It was also felt that the basin was too small for a piece which would work better as a free-standing sculpture. The piece is popularly known as "The Little Guy Doing Squats," "The Little Jumping Jack Dude" and "That Fountain Thing." IAS files include related articles from the Anchorage Times, May 18, 1980 and Sept. 9, 1981, with a photo of the sculpture in its original site and from Northern Light, the campus newspaper, Nov. 5, 1991.
