    The sculpture was created during a 30-day residency at Freeport High School by artist-in residence Clark Battle Fitz-Gerald, art teacher Natasha Kempers-Cullen, industrial arts teacher Bill Adams and 19 students enrolled in a special class at the high school. IAS files contain a description of the project by the high school's assistant principal, Bruce Brown, a dedication program, and a related article from The Bulletin (Freeport, ME), May 17, 1987, pg. 7.
