Description:
Architectural and sculptural environment on a three-acre site. The installation includes: Eliphante, a free form structure of stone, adobe and wood, with stained glass, wood collage, and ceramic inlay; Hippodrome, also a free form structure containing painted/collage mylar on walls and ceiling, painted floor, inlaid wood forms and stained glass; a Pond with rock, cement and wood sculpture; a Tunnel leading to a 8 x 8 ft. kiva space with stained glass windows; Tall upright beams (12 x 12 ft) with multiple circling wire; and several large driftwood constructs.

Remarks:
IAS files contain unmounted color photocopies, with details of the site. Work was begun in April 1979 and is ongoing. Kahn and Livant are the primary creators of Eliphante. Glastonbury, Wickstrom, and Lanning assisted as carvers; O'Keefe did the stone and landscape work; Hickey did the pottery and design work.
