    Description: 
    A low-lying cross shaped sculpture composed of four arms of equal size radiating from a central circular element. Each arm is composed of two trapezoids, each with two cleats embedded in its upper surface. The central element is surmounted by a ring containing four stones. Three mounds of stones are located beyond the four arms.

Plaque in Gorham Village School lobby reads: OF MAN AND NATURE/RON CROSS/1990/ELEVEN INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SCULPTURAL WORKS/COMMISSIONED FOR THE TOWN OF GORHAM/AND THE CITIZENS OF MAINE/UNDER THE MAINE/PERCENT FOR ART ACT. Funded under the Maine Percent for Art program at a cost of $25,000. IAS files contain copies of articles from American Journal (Gorham, Maine), Sept. 12, 1990, pg. 11; Portland, Maine, Evening Express, Sept. 18, 1990, pg. 2; and other materials.
