    The sculpture was designed by John W. Winterich, modeled in clay by Joseph Winterich, Sr., and carved in Italy by Armand Battelli. IAS files contain a related article from the Parmadale Post 2 (July 1926) pg. 1, published by the Catholic Charities Corporation. IAS files also contain related May 28, 1993 correspondence from John W. Winterich & Associates, which includes an early company advertisement featuring the sculpture.
