    Remarks:
This fountain, designed for horses, was originally placed downtown in Torrington's five-street intersection and may at one have been sited in Coe Park, before being moved to its present site in the 1950s-1960s. The fountain was a gift of the Daughters of the American Revolution to the city and cost $5,000. IAS files contain a copy of the article from the Torrington Register (Torrington, CT), June 11, 1921 discussing the unveiling of the fountain. Olmsted Brothers supplied the fountain and John DeMichiel Company of Torrington, CT "completed" the work.
