    Remarks: 
    Commemorates Stephen Collins Foster (1826-1864), composer of popular ballads and minstrel songs. Sculpture was a result of a $50,000 grant from the Kentucky Colonels to the My Old Home Foundation Nearby plaque reads: Stephen Collins Foster/was the composer of Kentucky's state song My Old Kentucky Home. This sculpture was created by Abbe Godwin, and generously donated by The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels./June 4, 1994. IAS files contain June 1, 1994 memorandum from My Old Kentucky Home State Park with details about sculpture and a copy of artist's design drawing for installation.
