    Remarks: 
    Erected by the Council Bluffs chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Commemorates the visit of Abraham Lincoln to Council Bluffs in 1859. On November 17, 1863, Lincoln selected the city as the eastern terminus of the Union Pacific Railroad. IAS files contain a a copy of The Union Pacific Magazine, (June 1924).
