Description:
A uniformed Civil War soldier stands at parade rest holding the barrel of his rifle with both hands at chest level, the butt of which rests by his feet. The soldier has a moustache and wears a visored cap. He is mounted on top of a pedestal-like upper section of the sculpture that is decorated with a coat of arms and rests upon a multitiered, inscribed, column-like, square, lower section with engravings within recessed panels. The sculpture is mounted upon a short base.
