    Description: 
    The Totem Pole bears the family crest of the carvers. A thunderbird with folded wings at the top of pole and a killer whale at the bottom. Both are painted in traditional colors of black, red, green, and yellow, with parts left natural cedar. The whale is standing on his head with his tail folded downward, supporting the thunderbird. A human face is carved in the head of the whale just below the dorsal fin.

    Remarks: 
    The totem pole was carved by Tony Hunt, his brother Alex, and an Anglo-apprentice during the Museum's exhibition of Northwest Coast Indian art. The totem pole was repainted in January, 1993, by the artist and his son. A nearby plaque reads: Totem Pole 1973/Tony Hunt - Kwakiutl/12 feet.
