Description:
Full-length male figure of a football player made out of sections of pipe fittings. The torso is a four way section of pipe: the arms are attached to the lateral openings; the head is connected to the top opening; the legs are connected to an inverted "Y" shaped section of pipe that is attached to the bottom of the torso. The proper right arm is extended upward; the proper left arm is extended forward. The head is a capped section of pipe; the eyes, ears, and mouth are made from small pieces of pipe.

Remarks:
Sculpture is a copy of a smaller figure located at Union Foundry. Sculpture is painted annually, either blue and orange or crimson and white (colors of Auburn University and University of Alabama), depending on which school won the annual football game. Union Foundry and M and H Valve Company are both owned by McWane Inc., Birmingham, Alabama.
