D., Mrs., 2217 North Palm, Little Rock, Arkansas 1904. Remarks:  Mary Dobbins Freeman was born in 1856 in Griffin, Georgia, the daughter of Miles Green and Susan (Butler) Dobbins. She married Edward Everett Freeman, a planter, in Atlanta, Georgia in 1871. She lived in Little Rock with her daughter, Mrs. T. D. Rowan, for a year before she death in 1920. The portrait was painted from an engagement picture that was a gift to her husband. References:  Crawford, Sybil F., 2003.
