Description:
Seven vertical stands of brushed stainless steel tubes suggest human forms. Two horizontal bars of metal near the top represent arms reaching from shoulder to shoulder in a gesture of intimate friendship.

Remarks:
In June 1980 Marcia Wood's model was chosen in a state-wide competition sponsored by the Detroit Council of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. Her model was fabricated in full size by two Kalamazoo men, David Volosky and Leon Hillman. The sculpture was installed in June 1980 at a cost of $17,500.
