    Four bronze skiers atop snow mound of unpolished white marble, set on a round stone and concrete base. The figures all wear skiing gear including wool caps and are in various stages of ski-jumping.

    Commissioned by the Vail Town Council and the Lionshead Merchants Association for $40,000. People sit and climb on the sculpture. Prior to April 1991, the skis had been broken off and repaired five times. In 1991, one ski was recast and welded on. IAS files contain article from the Vail Daily, April 12, 1991, pg. 3.
